Protection Programme

SANAD believes that any service provided to people with special needs falls under the umbrella of protection since all services lead to their access to their rights affirmed by all international conventions and treaties.

Hence, the protection program works to ensure the safety, dignity and rights of persons with disabilities and to qualify them to facilitate their integration into society, reduce their vulnerability to further harm, humiliation, discrimination, physical or psychological harm or gender-based violence, and provide an appropriate environment to increase their chances of reaching their full potential, to be equal with their peers and have all the tools and safe environment that suits their needs.

Program Philosophy

Everyone with a disability has full right to protect against discrimination and marginalization and the individual is the essential infrastructure to change society's perception of people with disabilities and to amend laws that limit their integration into society. In its philosophy, SANAD focuses on the rehabilitation and empowerment of the individual through the provision of cognitive support, speech rehabilitation, self-care skills, basic life skills and psychological support, as well as support services such as physiotherapy, career counseling, family support, community assistance and advocacy for the rights of people with disabilities.
